Western Australia has some of the most unique and beautiful reptiles in the world. This site offers only a glimpse of Western Australia’s unique and diverse reptile fauna along with a sneak preview of the range of habitats and landscapes that this amazing state has to offer.
Snakes, lizards, turtles, alligators, and crocodiles are all reptiles. Often people are a little apprehensive, or even fearful of reptiles. This fear is often irrational and the vast majority of reptiles are quite harmless to humans. In fact once you familiarize yourself with the many different species of reptiles and improve your identification skills, you can easily become quite fascinated by these majestic and seemingly prehistoric creatures.
Over the last 20 years we have had the opportunity to work with some of the World's most fascinating reptiles and have learned valuable information related to the habits, distribution, husbandry, long-term maintenance and natural history of these much misunderstood group of animals. We are dedicated to promoting understanding and the conservation of our native reptiles through communication, education and interaction.
